Trevor Linden Community Spirit Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to four students in BC who will be attending their first year of post-secondary education. Students must be in good academic standing  and have made exceptional contributions to: school and community service, leadership, community development, affecting positive change, mentoring others, personal development and growth, academic performance.

The Federation of Community Social Services of BC Youth Education Bursary

Applications usuallly open in January and the application deadline is usually in May.

The FCSSBC Youth Education Bursary assists young people that are or have been in care and want to pursue a career in the field of Human and Social Services. 

Bursaries support students with the financial costs of tuition, books, and supplies for post-secondary academic education, training, or upgrading. 

The bursary is available to a maximum of $2,000 per academic year.

Sooke Teachers’ Association Scholarships

The members of the Sooke Teachers’ Association are proud to offer seven scholarships to the students of School District #62.  These will be available to graduating students attending full-time post-secondary institutions.  Scholarship awards will be in the amount of $1250.

Five of the scholarships awarded by the Sooke Teachers’ Association are named after Past Presidents who dedicated themselves to the Union, their colleagues, and their students.  They believed strongly in education, respect and the celebration of students who lead by example.

Sooke Principals’ and Vice Principals’ Association Legacy Scholarships

The Sooke Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association is pleased to offer scholarships to the students of Sooke School District. Annual scholarships will be awarded to one student graduating from each of our district secondary schools: Belmont Secondary, Edward Milne Community School, École Royal Bay Secondary, Westshore Secondary, and QELEṈSEN Á, LEṈ. In addition, one scholarship will be awarded to recognize a graduate with Indigenous ancestry. Details of the scholarship and procedures for application are set out below.

Sooke Fine Arts Society Visual Arts Scholarship

The Sooke Fine Arts Society will offer up to two annual scholarships of $1,500 to School District #62 students graduating from Grade 12 at one of: Edward Milne Community, Royal Bay Secondary, West Shore Centre for Learning, or Belmont Secondary Schools or SD #62 home school learning program. The scholarships are to provide financial support to students entering a post-secondary program, which includes a visual arts component, at an accredited Canadian institution.
