The Metchosin Foundation offers 4 different scholarships.
Several scholarships of $7,000 each will be awarded to youth who are living with a mental health challenge of their own or that of a family member and are pursuing health-related post-secondary studies at a recognized Canadian university or community college, and plan to pursue a career in their health-related field of studies. Each scholarship will be renewable for up to three additional years, subject to continued eligibility.
Eligibility Criteria:
This scholarship is an annual award in honour of Ms. Daneen Skilling, a dedicated and professional leader to business and community in ensuring workplaces are safe and healthy. Ms. Skilling served as Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC Board of Directors Chair for seven years during a period of significant growth. Her experience, leadership, and dedication led the Alliance to become a leading centre for health and safety.
Applicants must have played three (3) or more years with an affiliated LISA team and/or must be currently participating within LISA in a specific capacity. Priority is given to individuals currently playing youth soccer, but participation may also be as a coach, official, or volunteer.

This scholarship is for Aboriginal Youth planning to attend a recognized post-secondary institution.
Selection criteria:
1) Aboriginal Ancestry
2) Graduating this June planning to begin full time studies at a post-secondary school
3) Good scholastic standing
4) Community involvement
5) Leadership abilities
Scholarship must be claimed within two years of date of award
The Dick Darley Scholarship is a memorial scholarship in the amount of $500 which may be awarded by the Juan de Fuca Football Club (JDFFC) each year to any applicant whose application is deemed to have met the eligibility criteria.
The Scholarship will be payable to the winner(s) by cheque or electronic funds transfer upon receipt of proof of registration at a post-secondary training institution. A one-year deferral will be accepted upon written request.

Belairdirect Insurance offers 50 scholarships, valued at $1000 each, to eligible students completing high school in June and starting post-secondary education in the Fall.
Eligible applicants will be evaluated based on three components:
(1) academic achievement;
(2) volunteer/community involvement and/or extracurricular activities; and
(3) quality and relevance of the personal statement
Selection criteria:
This award goes to a student who is a past or current Teen Mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria.

- current school transcript
- reference letter from a teacher/instructor or a personal reference (excluding family members)
