Zarko Perko Memorial Scholarship

The Zarko Perko Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to two students annually. Each scholarship will be $2,500 and awarded to a female and a male student graduating from a secondary school in British Columbia in 2025 and entering a post-secondary institution.

The successful applicants will be well-rounded individuals and be selected on the following criteria:

Sooke Community Association Scholarship for Trades

The Sooke Community Association offers a $1000 scholarship to a student pursing training in the trades. 

Additional criteria:  These scholarships will be awarded to students who are promising young citizens who are community-oriented, with a record of volunteer work.  

The Sooke Community Association wishes that financial assistance be offered to as many students as possible, so preference may be given to students not receiving other scholarships. 

Artona Arts Scholarship

This scholarship is for a student pursuing an art-related post-secondary program.  Preference may be given to students planning to study photography.  

Students applying for this scholarship should include some samples of their artwork in their School Awards application portfolio. 

MAE Indigenous Education Fund

McCuaig & Associates Engineering (MAE) is a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm specializing in the assessment, renovation, and restoration of existing residential, commercial, and public buildings.  In an effort to decrease financial barriers and increase the participation of Indigenous students in post-secondary Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) fields, MAE has established an education fund of $1000 per year open to self-identifying Indigenous students studying full-time in a STEM field at any post-secondary school in Canada.

Braefoot Bursaries

This bursary is for students who have already started college/university in a program related to LAW or EDUCATION.  Make a note of this and apply in September of your first year of post-secondary.  The application deadline is actually in October or November FOLLOWING YOUR GRADUATION.
