To a deserving student, who plans on pursuing post-secondary training other than a university degree. 

This award is intended for students interested in careers such as: welding, mechanics, hairdressing, nurses aid, home care worker, plumber, chef,  or similar post secondary careers.

Selection criteria:  
1)  interest in community and extra-curricular activities
2)  pursuing post-secondary training other than a university degree

The availability and amount of this bursary may vary from year to year depending on the funding the Optimist Club receives.
